The First Book
The first book published by us was a biography of Sir Manuel Hornibrook, the builder of the sails of the Sydney Opera House. The fascinating story of Hornibrook’s role in building the key landmark that captured the world’s attention was written by local Queensland author Waverney Browne. Although the manuscript had been rejected by several southern publishing houses, Boolarong Press put the book into first run and subsequent reprints. Queensland’s publishing house was born.
"This book fills a much-needed gap. "
