The launch of Mawson's Last Survivor, written by Anna Bemrose, will be held at the State Library of Queensland Auditorium 2 by Mr Tim Bowden author and retired ABC journalist.
Alf Howard was a scientist and adventurer who was part of Sir Douglas Mawson's BANZARE expeditionary team to Antarctica.
