Bernadette Mercer the author of 'How to be Your Own Therapist' is doing two book signings next month. 1/ The Book Cafe, Mt Gravatt - Saturday 3/12/11 from 10.30-2.30pm. 2/ Angus & Robertson, Brookside -Saturday 10/12/11 from 11.30-1.30pm. Bernadette has written this book about what she knows best - health. For those not wanting to spend an entire Sunday in the Emergency Depatment waiting room to see a doctor about their persistent headache, dyspepsia, or bad back. In this book there are some home remedies that can assist with these problems.

Shadows of War on the Brisbane Line

Author Graham Smith will be at Angus & Robertson - Brookside, Saturday 3/12/11 from 11.30-1.30pm to sign his book 'Shadows of War on the Brisbane Line'. "This book is recollections of a young boy growing up in a Queensland bush community during World War 11. The stories are a snapshot of a world that is almost unrecognisable to the one we live in today, about a community that no longer exists."

Whistle up a Storm Book Signing

Kevin Crowe author, Rugby Union player & Referee will be at Angus & Robertson - Brookside on Thursday 1/12/11 from 5.30-7.30pm signing his book 'Whistle up a Storm'. ... he became the best referee in Australia...Paul McLean "Kevin Crowe was a rugby union player and World War 11 veteran. This book tells the story of his life as a rugby player in Queensland from the 1930s, and of his career as a referee and rugby administrator. Kevin played 110 first grade games for New Farm before representing Brisbane, Queensland & Ausrtalia."

Betrayals Book signing

Author Ian Callinan with be at New Farm Edition on Saturday 26/11/12 from 11-1pm. He will also be at Angus & Robertson - Brookside on Thursday 8/12/11 from 6-8pm to sign his new book 'Betrayals'. "Betrayals plots the destinies of three people of very different backgrounds and personalities as they live their lives in Ipswich, Brisbane, Canberra, Vietnam, Oxford, Moscow and Bucharest. Each is profoundly affected by, and has an important role in the machinations of the great powers in the Cold War. "

Chermside Library and Boolarong Press have joined forces to bring 3 authors together for the day. On the 9/11/11 authors Don Munro, Laurie Woods & Graham Smith will be at Chermside to talk and answer questions about their books and their time during the war.                    So if this is something that your interested in please call the Chermside Library to book a seat.
